do you tend to overthink…everything?

Happy Wed beautiful!

Is it cold where you are right now? The weather just turned chillier here in Arizona and  there’s something about needing that extra blanket on the bed that invites self-reflection…or obsessive overthinking…or Netflix binges (done all three btw).

But what do you do when your mind seems to take on a life of its own?

Today’s Q+A comes from anonymous: “Diana, I feel incredibly overwhelmed and I can’t seem stop the monkey mind when it comes to relationships and dating. I just recently got back into the ‘game’ and I’m feeling overwhelmed and am overthinking every single date I go on. How can I have peace of mind and just stay present?”

We’ve all been there before, right?!

If it’s not with dating, it could be with a new career/job, new fitness regimen-anything you’re new to that takes you out of your comfort zone.

So what’s a Goddess to do?

My input would be that as a woman we seem to be conditioned to putting on a façade that can always be a pleasing and its the “norm”. Just be yourself. You know yourself, your values, and qualities. We all have faults and being in total confidence in who you are is what will be projected during the date. You will also know intuitively if the guy is genuine or if he is just throwing his accolades, trying to impress or talking only about his stuff and achievements. Everyone is being sized up at a date. Cut to the chase, keep it easy by trusting your feelings. You will know when it feels right and when it does not. Don’t pre-set yourself up to customize your personality for each date. In the end, the true colors are revealed for both parties. Honesty and love with yourself is a priority. Once you accept that you are a great person who deserves a man of the same caliber….it will flow easy and you don’t need to work so hard.. The monkey mind will settle down.
