ps: Happy New Decade gift: Many of my private clients and friends consider themselves to be empaths, or those who have a heightened sensitivity and gift for feeling other people’s emotions, among other things. Is this you too?

If you are an empath, you tend to attract ‘takers’ in relationships and that’s the last thing I want for you in this brilliant new energy! Learning how to manage this gift is crucial so…

I created a free list for you! It’s called, the ’21 Best Practices for Empaths.’

Here’s to new beginnings!

before you close out the year, do this..

Merry Xmas and Happy New Moon Eclipse to you!

Wow-it feels so special to be writing you on this double-whammy high-octane energy day.

What are you up to this Xmas?

I’ve spent Xmases single and sad, alone and ecstatic, coupled and wanting to be alone and coupled and blissfully together! I find that this day can be very magical or very annoying depending on your perspective!

So often in the last few days of the year, it can be really easy to just gloss over things and focus on the upcoming New Year.

Which, don’t get me wrong-2020 is going to blow all our socks off in a great way (more on that in next week’s video) …

But it’s so important to sink in and spend a bit of time honoring and reflecting upon the year.

So you don’t make the same mistakes twice.

Or forget to honor and celebrate all the amazing shifts and wins and lessons you experienced so you can take that wisdom with you!

Can I help you finish out the year?

Block off 15-30 minutes for yourself.

Slip into something cozy and comfy.

And grab a journal and pen.

To make it easy, here are 4 of my favorite sentence stems to journal on before the bell strikes 12 midnight on Dec 31 wherever you are in the world.

1. What I’m most proud of from 2019 is….

2. One big thing I released from my life was…

3. My biggest challenge was…

4. What I’m most committed to and excited about creating for 2020 is…

Suggestions:

1. Let yourself flow-don’t edit as you go (I’m so guilty of that!). Just allow your feelings to come out.

2. Clear distractions-turn off your phone and do this away from FB and social…seriously. You are that important.

3. Celebrate when you’re done! Blow out a candle, dance to Lizzo, make a meal for yourself.

These 4 prompts can help you gracefully wrap up 2019 so you can float freely and lightly into 2020 and all its amazingness!

It’s been such an honor to share these weekly musings with you.

BONUS: If you feel guided, hit reply and share with me one thing that you’ve taken away from these tips. I love reading these!

I am psyched to continue to connect with you and help you be your most empowered, sparkly self so you can receive all the LOVE that wants to come your way!

Over and out, with lots of Goddess sequins and cue my exit music please <<<big band 20’s music will do just fine>>>.

See you next year!

the secret to letting go (full moon week)

Happy Full Moon week!

How are you feeling?

Yesterday, I visited this cool ghost town in Arizona called Jerome with my honey and he wanted to check out the tasting room from the vineyard of Tool’s lead singer, Maynard. (All he had to say was wine and I was like…okay! Is there chocolate too??)

It’s a sleepy, creepy kinda town, with houses that look like they are going to fall off the cliff…skeletons hugging the sign of Haunted Hamburger joint and if you gaze up, you can see the Grand Hotel and Asylum cafe high on the hill, where you can take in the scenery of the mountains, the former mine and this quirky little place.

I felt like I went back in time and on the drive back, I reflected on what it must have been like to live there in its Gold mine heyday…and how it all came crashing down in the 1950’s and was basically left deserted when the mine dried up. Only to be reborn again when artists and hippies came to revive it a decade later.

It got me thinking a lot about this year-things that panned out for you.

Things that fell spectacularly apart.

Maybe even things that never even got off the ground but died in the idea phase.

Friendships that you outgrew.

Relationships that deepened…or dead-ended.

The theme of this week is “illumination.”

Full Moons bring up insights, illuminating the things you’ve been avoiding, the things that are really important to you and all the emotions that accompany both of those awarenesses.

And with the awareness, comes letting go.

But what I’ve found in coaching hundreds of people and in my own personal experience is that letting go starts with one thing:

Acceptance.

Acceptance of what is. Acceptance of how you are feeling. Acceptance that something is being asked to deepen or die.

Until we accept it, the letting go can’t happen.

It maybe can mentally but not a full-body let go.

And letting go is not a destination.

It’s an on-going decision to stop fighting what IS.

Like Jerome-it used to be this booming gold mine town…then it was deserted for a long time…then it was reborn and is now a booming little town rich with artists, wine, haunted hotels and tours and who knows what it will reinvent itself to be in the next century.

So during this Full Moon week, I encourage you to journal and look at the following:

1) What is being asked to deepen?

2) What is naturally falling away?

3) What do I need to accept about XYZ situation?

Sink in.

Get a cup of your favorite beverage.

Cozy up.

And I’ll see you on the other side.

what to do when your life starts falling apart

Have you ever seen the movie, Bridget Jones’ Diary?

There’s a great line in there that goes something like this:

“Why is it that when one part of your life starts going brilliantly, another part always seems to fall spectacularly apart”

In the movie, she’s referring to being in a fun, exciting new relationship while her relationship with her mother starts to unravel. Fast.

Have you ever experienced that?

It can feel like the Universe is plotting against you but here’s what you must keep in mind…

What to do when your life seems to be falling apart:

There are all these fancy phrases to describe this phenomenon, but to make it fun, let’s call it the “meltdown.”

Basically it’s when you dramatically up-level one area in your life that has been a thorn in your side ….and your subconscious freaks out.

It is feeling unsafe, unsteady and in new territory and all those pesky little beliefs that go contrary to your new reality decide to make an appearance.

All with the sole purpose of helping you feel comfortable. Safe. Status quo.

Examples:

You’ve been going on dates, despite feeling scared.
You agree to a second date, things are going amazingly well…
and then…
Your car craps out, you lose your job and your date ghosts you. All in the same week.
You may think, “Does the Universe have my back?”

It can feel like the Universe is playing this nasty trick on you.

And it’s so easy to go into victim-mode, curl up in a ball and think the whole world is against you.

It’s easy to just stop trying for what you want and justify that you really like where you are..really….it’s not so bad, right? Lie!

But the thing is, these events, as frustrating as they are, are essential to you getting to the next level. In love and in life. They aren’t the verdict.

And it’s not the Universe saying you suck.

It’s part of the process of transforming your life from the inside out.

It’s a temporary side-effect on the way to creating what you desire.

It’s like popping the zit.

First all this crap comes to the surface, it pops and BAM! Clear skin.

Smooth.

A do-over.

Your face may be a little sore.

You may want to use some cover-up and hide out.

But all in all, it was just a zit.

Your Life Isn’t Falling Apart

In short: When you start taking massive action in the direction of your dreams, making changes and doing things differently than you’ve always done them, it can feel like your life is falling apart. But you don’t have to let it stop you. It can help you know that on the other side of pulling yourself out or asking for help out of the hole, is a new place.

One that is more like you.

A better fit.

More fun and way more real.

Will you rise to the challenge?

So, the real question is:

Are you willing to keep going towards your deepest desires even when your life appears to be falling apart? Or are you going to quit at the first sign of a challenge?

If so, in the comments below, post 1) what your big desire is and 2) one action you will take this week towards it!

how to deal with the space between the old & the new

Happy Wed!

So of the topics that have come up several times in The Empowered Goddess Society (a new membership community I facilitate) is this idea of being in the in-between time.
You’re done with one particular cycle but not quite ready or clear on what the next one looks like.
It can be the weirdest time period but it’s the corridor for the human experience catching up with the soul’s growth/evolution.
One of the ladies shared it perfectly with a shared meme:

I wrote a post about this years ago and I felt guided to re-share it with you today.

You know you’re in a spirit waiting room when:

  • you feel like you are in-between exiting your old life and entering a new, unknown one

  • you feel pressured to make a decision about your new life but every time you try, your energy gets scattered

  • You have a deep desire to just escape your current situation or you crave lots and lots of quiet time (even if you’re very outgoing and social normally!)
