Happy Wednesday!
Have you ever seen the rom-com called Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale?
Rob makes fun of me that I’m secretly stuck in a 90’s and early 2000’s rom-com reality (oh well!!!) but there is one scene near the end with his best friend that I wanted t share with you today.
Without giving away the story, his friend shares that how at the end of a man’s life in Ancient Greece (or was it Rome? oh well, mute point!), only one question gets asked by those around the person to measure his “success” during his time on Earth.
Q: Did he have passion?
It wasn’t. “What did he acquire? Or even…who did he love and who loved him? It was…did he live with passion?”
To them, passion was an indication of a life fully lived.
The rest was icing on the cake and a natural effect of the above.
And as we begin to round the corner to the end of 2020, I invite you to consider some of the following questions.
If you are a journaler, this is a good time to bust it out. Carve out some quiet time.
Write these questions at the top-let them simmer over the next two weeks…see what comes out of you.
- Are you proud of who you are and who you’ve become this year? What are you most proud of?
- Where did you lead with passion this year? And where do you wish you would have lead with more and didn’t?
- What is one thing you honor in yourself as we come to the end of the year?
Feeling brave? Comment below one of your answers to the questions above with me.
I read every single one but cannot promise a reply back.
Happy reflecting!
