How to Stop Feeling Insecure in Relationships & Build Unshakable Self-Worth
Have you ever caught yourself wondering…
“Did I say the wrong thing?”
“What if they don’t like me anymore?”
“Am I enough?”
Whether it’s a romantic relationship, a friendship, a family dynamic, or even a business partnership, insecurity has a way of convincing us that our worth depends on someone else’s approval.
But what if that’s not actually true?

If you’re someone who loves to learn by watching, I’ve recorded a video where I walk you through this topic and share practical ways to shift from seeking external validation to building genuine self-trust.
Or, if you prefer reading, keep scrolling below—we’re going to explore the deeper root of relationship insecurity together.
The Real Root of Relationship Insecurity
One of the biggest patterns I see with my clients isn’t that they’re “too sensitive.”
It’s that they’ve unknowingly handed over the keys to their self-worth.
When your sense of being lovable, worthy, or enough is rooted in how other people respond to you, every interaction starts to feel like a test.
Did they text back?
Did I disappoint them?
Are they pulling away?
Am I doing enough?
Before long, you’re no longer showing up authentically.
You’re constantly monitoring yourself instead of simply being yourself.
Many of these patterns begin much earlier than we realize. Childhood experiences, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or growing up believing love had to be earned can quietly shape how we relate to others as adults.
The beautiful news?
These patterns can change.
The Shift That Changes Everything
Healing insecurity isn’t about becoming perfect or never feeling uncertain again.
It’s about changing where you source your value.
Instead of asking:
“Do they approve of me?”
Begin asking:
“Do I approve of how I’m showing up?”
That one shift alone is incredibly powerful.
Because self-trust grows every time you choose your own inner wisdom over someone else’s opinion.
A Simple Practice to Reconnect With Your Worth
Place one hand over your heart.
Take a slow breath.
Then gently repeat:
I am worthy.
I am lovable.
I am enough.
At first, your mind may argue.
It may tell you this can’t possibly be true.
That’s okay.
You don’t have to force yourself to believe it overnight.
Simply allow yourself to become available to the possibility that it’s already true.
Over time, these words become less of an affirmation…
…and more of a remembering.
Build Self-Trust One Small Decision at a Time
Confidence isn’t created through grand gestures.
It’s built through ordinary moments.
Choosing what feels aligned.
Speaking your truth kindly.
Setting a boundary.
Listening to your intuition before asking five other people what they think.
Each small act sends a powerful message to your nervous system:
“I can trust myself.”
And when you trust yourself, relationships become less about seeking reassurance—and more about sharing who you genuinely are.
Your Reflection
Take a moment to ask yourself:
Where in my life am I still looking outside myself for permission, validation, or proof that I’m enough?
Your answer may surprise you.
And it may also become the beginning of a much deeper relationship with yourself.
Remember, beautiful…
You were never meant to earn your worth.
You were simply meant to remember it. 💛
