Bloody Fingernail!
A month or so ago, I went to the gym and managed to drop a weight on my middle finger.
It hurt like nothing I’ve ever experienced before and to make a long story short, the new nail has been inching it’s way under the bloody now black layer.
I felt embarrassed getting a manicure the day of my wedding at the urging of my sister-in-law, but the guy that did it was compassionate and covered it with like 5 layers of red nail polish so no one could tell.
After the polish came off, part of the old nail started to fall off ut not enough to make a dent… (fun picture)
The point of this story:
A new life is waiting for you underneath your old one.
You may be clawing and scratching for “it” to reveal itself but you can’t rush it.
It won’t be rushed.
There is something to be gained from long at the ugly, deformed, dying parts of ourselves, our lives, our relationships, our homes, or in my case, my middle finger (which still makes em chuckle that it’s that finger!) whatever seems to be in the throws of a creative catharsis.
Can you accept it?
Can you honor it?
Can you let it show you where you may need to love yourself even more?
Embrace the transitions that may be happening right now, goddess.
Once it’s time for the new to reveal itself, you’ll be ready for it.
You won’t miss it.
Sending you love!
